1- Arrietty

Arrietty is definitely the best movie to watch as an anime beginner, due to its spectacular scenery, soothing music, light and simple storyline.

Arrietty is a 14 years girl who belongs to the world of small people called borrowers. These people live in the houses secretly, and borrow food from normal humans. One day,  Arrietty is revealed to the boy named Sho who has come to live in the house with his grandma. The moment he sees her, he wants to protect her.

2-Spirited away

Spirited away is an Oscar winning anime movie for it's amazing and magical animation and for it's unique storyline. It's the most loved Ghibli movie by the audience. 

Chihiro, with her parents comes across to an abandoned amusement park. The air is magical, and nobody is to be seen there. Her parents consume the food from the stalls and turn into pigs, frightened Chihiro runs for her life and meets a mysterious boy Haku. Who tells her about the place which is full of spirits and magic.

3- Howl's Moving castle

It's one of the most charming movie because of its character Howl, who is a handsome wizard and lives in a magical moving castle. Sophie, who is a friend of Howl works at her father's hat shop. But the evil witch of waste casts a spell on Sophie which ages her prematurely and she becomes an old lady. Now howl must use all his magical talents return the youth and beauty of Sophie.

4- Kiki's delivery service

Kiki belongs to a family of witches and now she has turned to the age where she has to leave her parents house and has to go to humans world to practice her magic. She takes her broom and flies towards the city, where she meets a lady who owns a bakery. Kiki becomes the delivery girl for the bakery.

5- Princess Mononoke

Princess Mononoke is one of the unique and conceptually beautiful movie. In 14th century, when the humans, animals and gods lived in harmony. The princess Mononoke is raised by wolves and she despises humans. The young boy Ashitaka, during his search to find cure for his infection, sees humans ravaging the earth, bringing down the wrath of wolf god and his companion Mononoke. This movie is rich of magical ideas, spirits and the beauty of nature.
